nah, it is known as farmers' market instead. compare to tronoh's pasar malam, not much difference. in fact tronoh's has more options in terms of ready food, except it is cleaner and neater. so, there's no satay, taufufa, kuih, charkueytiaw, cendol etc etc. but pastries, chocolates, burgers, alcohols, vegetables and fresh meats
me, being very unladylike having chilli flakes potato crisps in the middle of market
i managed to get breads, smoked mackerel, lamb shank and pieces of argus beef. no idea how to prepare them (cannot tahan my own shopaholic madness sometimes, pasar also can grab tons of things) but hey i'm a genius or anyone is kind enough to share their secret recipes?
we went to rudolf steiner school afterwards as there's a christmas market going on, selling pastries, pizzas, soup, handicraft, dolls, jams etc etc. it was a good experience as most of the stuff were made by kids. the food (prepared by parents) was okay, ranging between £1-£2/pcs, but the company and atmosphere, definitely made up my day
it was a crappy cake despite how it looks like
